Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) a statistical tool is widely accepted and used in Six sigma calculations to compare whether samples are drawn from populations that have the same mean (average), or whether the population means are significantly different. Later on a hypothesis test is carried out to compare the variation due to the factors being observed by the six sigma team.
